Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 4.05% or 0.60 points to trade at 15.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) added 2.37% or 0.75 points to end at 32.35 and Hellenic Exchanges Athens Stock Exchange SA (AT:EXCr) was up 1.70% or 0.08 points to 4.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr), which fell 5.64% or 1.55 points to trade at 25.95 at the close. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) declined 3.96% or 0.33 points to end at 8.10 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) was down 2.84% or 0.03 points to 1.16.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 56 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) rose to all time highs; up 2.37% or 0.75 to 32.35.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 1.40 to $2,426.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.62% or 1.25 to hit $75.91 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.54% or 1.24 to trade at $79.04 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 104.43.
