Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which rose 5.66% or 0.62 points to trade at 11.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) added 5.14% or 0.04 points to end at 0.84 and Aktor Symmetochon Technikon kai Energoiakon Ergon AE (AT:INCr) was up 4.38% or 0.21 points to 5.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ekter (AT:EKTr), which fell 5.38% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.76 at the close. Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr) declined 3.17% or 0.90 points to end at 27.50 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was down 2.64% or 0.29 points to 10.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 56 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.65% or 18.01 to $2,752.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.27% or 0.20 to hit $75.64 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.26 to trade at $79.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 108.17.
