Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr), which rose 2.98% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) added 2.59% or 0.04 points to end at 1.62 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 1.93% or 0.23 points to 12.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BriQ Properties REIC (AT:BRIQr), which fell 2.30% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.12 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 2.12% or 0.22 points to end at 10.16 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was down 1.90% or 0.02 points to 1.03.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 55 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.67% or 17.69 to $2,614.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.86% or 0.61 to hit $71.21 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.50 to trade at $74.29 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 108.17.
