Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction, Financials and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 4.09% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.229 at the close. Meanwhile, European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) added 2.99% or 0.100 points to end at 3.450 and Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) was up 2.48% or 0.0300 points to 1.2400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr), which fell 3.78% or 0.055 points to trade at 1.400 at the close. Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) declined 2.79% or 0.005 points to end at 0.174 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was down 2.38% or 0.050 points to 2.050.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 51 to 47 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.98% or 12.20 to $1227.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.36% or 0.24 to hit $66.83 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.16 to trade at $72.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1685, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 94.55.
