Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Travel, Retail and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which rose 5.59% or 0.0660 points to trade at 1.2460 at the close. Meanwhile, Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 5.38% or 0.165 points to end at 3.230 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was up 5.26% or 0.075 points to 1.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr), which fell 2.76% or 0.70 points to trade at 24.70 at the close. Karatzi (AT:KRTr) declined 2.04% or 0.150 points to end at 7.100 and K.L.M. (AT:KLUr) was down 1.99% or 0.014 points to 0.690.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.18% or 2.30 to $1276.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.05% or 0.68 to hit $65.58 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $75.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1584, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8784.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 94.69.
