Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which rose 5.54% or 0.074 points to trade at 1.410 at the close. Meanwhile, Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) added 5.07% or 0.700 points to end at 14.500 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) was up 3.74% or 0.220 points to 6.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 3.95% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.510 at the close. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 3.84% or 0.003 points to end at 0.073 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 3.55% or 0.0200 points to 0.5440.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 52 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.29% or 3.60 to $1243.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.63% or 0.87 to hit $54.12 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.50% or 0.93 to trade at $63.01 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1345, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.975.
