Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Travel and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.64% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which rose 7.32% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.760 at the close. Meanwhile, Hell.Exchanges (AT:EXCr) added 5.01% or 0.23 points to end at 4.82 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 4.42% or 0.008 points to 0.189 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 10.00% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.135 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 4.76% or 0.030 points to end at 0.600 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 4.72% or 0.005 points to 0.101.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 48 to 45 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.42% or 5.05 to $1213.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.36% or 1.56 to hit $47.92 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 3.39% or 1.59 to trade at $48.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.0624, while EUR/GBP fell 0.86% to 0.8518.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 100.99.
