Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.42% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Bank of Cyprus PCL (AT:BOCr), which rose 7.48% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.158 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 5.95% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.1790 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 4.91% or 0.029 points to 0.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 6.67% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.097 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 3.68% or 0.007 points to end at 0.183 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was down 2.67% or 0.01 points to 0.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.55% or 6.45 to $1174.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.58% or 0.31 to hit $53.45 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.83% or 0.47 to trade at $56.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.0569, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8581.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 101.87.
