Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Travel and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which rose 2.67% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) added 2.59% or 0.130 points to end at 5.160 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 2.44% or 0.015 points to 0.630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hell.Exchanges (AT:EXCr), which fell 2.75% or 0.13 points to trade at 4.60 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 2.59% or 0.030 points to end at 1.130 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) was down 2.33% or 0.001 points to 0.042.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 42 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.12% or 1.45 to $1257.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.46% or 0.79 to hit $53.26 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.22% or 0.69 to trade at $55.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.0619, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8546.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 100.88.
