Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Household, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 7.01% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.168 at the close. Meanwhile, Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) added 6.15% or 0.880 points to end at 15.200 and Bank of Cyprus PCL (AT:BOCr) was up 4.96% or 0.007 points to 0.148 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 7.69% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.096 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 4.30% or 0.008 points to end at 0.178 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was down 4.17% or 0.01 points to 0.23.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 43 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) rose to all time highs; rising 6.15% or 0.880 to 15.200.
Gold for February delivery was down 1.20% or 13.75 to $1128.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.21% or 0.64 to hit $53.70 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.68% or 0.92 to trade at $55.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.0375, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8404.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 103.42.
