Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Travel, Construction and Basic Resources sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 2.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 8.13% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.665 at the close. Meanwhile, Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) added 7.66% or 0.370 points to end at 5.200 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 6.74% or 0.132 points to 2.090 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karatzi (AT:KRTr), which fell 10.00% or 0.750 points to trade at 6.750 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 2.57% or 0.0018 points to end at 0.0680 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was down 1.87% or 0.025 points to 1.310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 80 to 32 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.72% or 8.70 to $1202.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.23% or 0.16 to hit $70.48 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.10 to trade at $78.60 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1752, while EUR/GBP rose 1.23% to 0.8984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 93.78.
