Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 2.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 10.59% or 0.0180 points to trade at 0.1880 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 8.37% or 0.022 points to end at 0.285 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 7.37% or 0.3500 points to 5.1000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 4.00% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.600 at the close. Hellenic Telec (AT:OTEr) declined 1.26% or 0.13 points to end at 10.20 and Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) was down 1.20% or 0.15 points to 12.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 90 to 31 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) rose to 3-years highs; rising 7.37% or 0.3500 to 5.1000.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.57% or 7.29 to $1270.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $54.19 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.09 to trade at $60.68 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1646, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.8775.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.47.
