Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 1.98%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr), which rose 5.49% or 0.77 points to trade at 14.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 5.35% or 0.56 points to end at 11.02 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was up 5.01% or 0.12 points to 2.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 1.57% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.31 at the close. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) declined 0.56% or 0.05 points to end at 8.92 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was down 0.43% or 0.10 points to 22.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 107 to 17 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Centric Hold (AT:DESr) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.57% or 0.01 to 0.31. Shares in Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.43% or 0.10 to 22.98.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.65% or 16.00 to $2,428.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.23% or 0.90 to hit $73.84 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.01% or 0.77 to trade at $77.07 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 102.69.
