Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Household, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 1.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 10.00% or 0.0200 points to trade at 0.2200 at the close. Meanwhile, Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 9.20% or 0.2300 points to end at 2.7300 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was up 8.55% or 0.130 points to 1.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr), which fell 1.14% or 0.21 points to trade at 18.15 at the close. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) declined 0.75% or 0.0500 points to end at 6.8000 and ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) was down 0.35% or 0.10 points to 28.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 88 to 26 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 9.20% or 0.2300 to 2.7300. Shares in Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) fell to 3-years highs; down 0.75% or 0.0500 to 6.8000.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.42% or 5.60 to $1322.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.74% or 0.45 to hit $60.70 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.28% or 0.18 to trade at $64.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.2330, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8914.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 90.01.
