Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 1.63%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gek Terna (AT:HRMr), which rose 9.11% or 0.440 points to trade at 5.270 at the close. Meanwhile, European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) added 5.79% or 0.190 points to end at 3.460 and Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) was up 5.30% or 0.410 points to 8.140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 2.31% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.718 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 1.92% or 0.0018 points to end at 0.0918 and Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) was down 1.77% or 0.035 points to 1.945.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 78 to 27 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.61% or 7.40 to $1195.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $67.86 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $74.79 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1570, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.9021.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 95.35.
