Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 6.67% or 0.3600 points to trade at 5.7600 at the close. Meanwhile, Karatzi (AT:KRTr) added 6.67% or 0.400 points to end at 6.400 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 3.77% or 0.80 points to 22.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 4.33% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.641 at the close. Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) declined 2.97% or 0.06 points to end at 1.96 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was down 2.73% or 0.030 points to 1.110.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 41 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.20 to $1231.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $71.83 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $80.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1578, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.73.
