Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.61% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which rose 9.29% or 0.0865 points to trade at 1.0180 at the close. Meanwhile, Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) added 7.74% or 0.240 points to end at 3.340 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was up 6.12% or 0.126 points to 2.186 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which fell 16.67% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.025 at the close. Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) declined 5.11% or 0.84 points to end at 15.60 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was down 2.83% or 0.026 points to 0.892.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 45 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) fell to all time lows; down 16.67% or 0.005 to 0.025.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.45% or 5.90 to $1323.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $68.12 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $74.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.2112, while EUR/GBP rose 0.97% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 91.39.
