Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 1.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which rose 6.38% or 0.148 points to trade at 2.466 at the close. Meanwhile, Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 4.85% or 0.08 points to end at 1.73 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 4.68% or 0.078 points to 1.746 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reds (AT:CAMr), which fell 3.61% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.800 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 2.29% or 0.030 points to end at 1.280 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was down 1.97% or 0.0018 points to 0.0896.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 77 to 30 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.26% or 3.10 to $1216.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $68.67 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.08 to trade at $76.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1673, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.9060.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 94.73.
