Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Travel, Banking and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr), which rose 6.27% or 0.46 points to trade at 7.80 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) added 5.05% or 0.085 points to end at 1.769 and Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) was up 4.84% or 0.0600 points to 1.3000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were K.L.M. (AT:KLUr), which fell 3.01% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.598 at the close. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 2.38% or 0.002 points to end at 0.082 and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) was down 1.93% or 0.45 points to 22.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 31 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in K.L.M. (AT:KLUr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.01% or 0.018 to 0.598.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.70 to $1207.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.39% or 0.28 to hit $72.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.14% or 0.92 to trade at $81.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1776, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8951.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 93.68.
