Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Retail, Banking and Household sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which rose 7.35% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) added 7.21% or 1.12 points to end at 16.65 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 7.20% or 0.170 points to 2.530 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which fell 28.57% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.035 at the close. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) declined 2.01% or 0.060 points to end at 2.930 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was down 1.95% or 0.12 points to 6.03.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 52 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.79% or 10.12 to $1283.32 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.69% or 0.97 to hit $58.37 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.82% or 1.14 to trade at $63.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1908, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8821.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 92.78.
