Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which rose 5.11% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) added 4.53% or 0.12 points to end at 2.77 and Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) was up 3.77% or 0.08 points to 2.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which fell 1.63% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.41 at the close. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) declined 0.73% or 0.06 points to end at 8.14 and Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:TWSr) was down 0.65% or 0.02 points to 3.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 87 to 34 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) fell to all time lows; losing 0.73% or 0.06 to 8.14.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.43% or 9.95 to $2,338.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.92% or 0.73 to hit $80.45 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.83% or 0.70 to trade at $84.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.93.
