Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Retail, Technology and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 7.10% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.181 at the close. Meanwhile, Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) added 4.84% or 0.3000 points to end at 6.7000 and AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) was up 4.44% or 0.080 points to 1.870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Public Power (AT:DEHr), which fell 2.32% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.95 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 1.61% or 0.40 points to end at 24.40 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was down 1.43% or 0.050 points to 3.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 89 to 26 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) rose to 3-years highs; rising 4.84% or 0.3000 to 6.7000.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.36% or 4.80 to $1324.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.88% or 1.19 to hit $62.20 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.06% or 0.71 to trade at $66.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.2296, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8853.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 89.99.
