Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which rose 4.12% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Premia AE (AT:PREMr) added 2.99% or 0.04 points to end at 1.24 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 2.86% or 0.62 points to 22.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which fell 1.92% or 0.22 points to trade at 11.26 at the close. Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) declined 1.46% or 0.12 points to end at 8.08 and Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) was down 1.30% or 0.04 points to 3.03.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 42 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.77% or 18.95 to $2,492.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.89% or 1.45 to hit $78.29 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 1.17 to trade at $80.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 103.01.
