Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 1.08% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Profile Syst (AT:PRFr), which rose 6.48% or 0.095 points to trade at 1.560 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 5.91% or 0.0026 points to end at 0.0466 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 5.66% or 0.060 points to 1.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which fell 4.12% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.102 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 2.65% or 0.1300 points to end at 4.7700 and ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) was down 2.24% or 0.100 points to 4.360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 28 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.12% or 0.004 to 0.102.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.21% or 2.75 to $1322.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.77% or 0.95 to hit $54.74 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.94% or 1.18 to trade at $62.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1474, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8767.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 95.218.
