Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.99% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which rose 10.02% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.145 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 9.41% or 0.160 points to end at 1.860 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was up 8.42% or 0.0160 points to 0.2100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which fell 7.59% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.036 at the close. Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) declined 2.08% or 0.060 points to end at 2.820 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 1.96% or 0.003 points to 0.150.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 89 to 32 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.03% or 0.40 to $1318.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.45% or 0.28 to hit $61.91 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $67.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.2066, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8906.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 91.66.
