Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Household and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 9.56% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.490 at the close. Meanwhile, Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) added 7.13% or 0.380 points to end at 5.700 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 6.90% or 0.010 points to 0.155 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which fell 12.05% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.219 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 3.04% or 0.021 points to end at 0.669 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was down 2.62% or 0.070 points to 2.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 70 to 35 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 7.13% or 0.380 to 5.700.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.40% or 5.08 to $1276.88 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $50.52 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $56.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1762, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8875.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.33.
