Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 5.79% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.2010 at the close. Meanwhile, Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 4.27% or 0.010 points to end at 0.244 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 3.15% or 0.040 points to 1.280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which fell 2.42% or 0.300 points to trade at 12.000 at the close. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 1.76% or 0.012 points to end at 0.670 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) was down 1.67% or 0.010 points to 0.590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 51 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.49% or 19.70 to $1339.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.14% or 0.09 to hit $62.48 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $65.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.66% to 1.2418, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 89.48.
