Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr), which rose 3.49% or 0.30 points to trade at 8.90 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) added 3.40% or 0.27 points to end at 8.20 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) was up 2.78% or 0.08 points to 2.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which fell 3.27% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.40 at the close. Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr) declined 1.87% or 0.40 points to end at 21.00 and Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) was down 1.59% or 0.50 points to 30.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 66 to 53 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.53% or 13.10 to $2,473.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.65% or 0.53 to hit $80.91 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.65% or 0.55 to trade at $84.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.67.
