Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which rose 3.92% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Hellenic Exchanges Athens Stock Exchange SA (AT:EXCr) added 3.82% or 0.18 points to end at 4.89 and Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) was up 3.81% or 1.10 points to 29.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which fell 2.96% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.78 at the close. Terna Energy SA (AT:TENr) declined 1.79% or 0.35 points to end at 19.25 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was down 1.75% or 0.07 points to 3.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 47 and 25 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.62% or 14.90 to $2,382.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.49% or 0.41 to hit $82.75 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.34% or 0.29 to trade at $86.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.57.
