Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr), which rose 4.65% or 0.15 points to trade at 3.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) added 3.55% or 0.07 points to end at 2.04 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 3.27% or 0.06 points to 1.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which fell 1.89% or 0.20 points to trade at 10.38 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 1.25% or 0.14 points to end at 11.08 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was down 1.23% or 0.05 points to 4.01.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 85 to 30 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.35% or 33.70 to $2,526.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.05% or 1.60 to hit $76.56 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.75% or 1.42 to trade at $79.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 102.63.
