Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:ELIr), which rose 4.88% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Alumil (AT:ALMr) added 3.36% or 0.11 points to end at 3.23 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 3.01% or 0.11 points to 3.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which fell 1.97% or 0.11 points to trade at 5.48 at the close. Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) declined 1.77% or 0.05 points to end at 2.77 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was down 1.67% or 0.09 points to 5.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 68 to 49 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alumil (AT:ALMr) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.36% or 0.11 to 3.23.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.75% or 20.10 to $2,711.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.36% or 0.25 to hit $70.64 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $74.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 103.60.
