Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Construction and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 7.27% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.059 at the close. Meanwhile, Halcor (AT:XAKO) added 3.42% or 0.040 points to end at 1.210 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was up 3.12% or 0.003 points to 0.099 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 10.16% or 0.052 points to trade at 0.450 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 9.13% or 0.020 points to end at 0.199 and Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) was down 4.92% or 0.300 points to 5.800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 41 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Halcor (AT:XAKO) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 3.42% or 0.040 to 1.210.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.13% or 1.75 to $1306.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.56% or 0.29 to hit $51.74 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.57 to trade at $57.74 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1812, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8895.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 92.98.
