Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr), which rose 3.98% or 1.10 points to trade at 28.75 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) added 2.73% or 0.20 points to end at 7.38 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was up 2.64% or 0.23 points to 8.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which fell 2.64% or 0.30 points to trade at 11.06 at the close. Ideal Group SA (AT:IDEr) declined 1.97% or 0.12 points to end at 5.96 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) was down 1.80% or 0.25 points to 13.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 70 to 57 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 5.20 to $2,754.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.47% or 1.02 to hit $70.28 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 1.01 to trade at $73.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 104.06.
