Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Constructions Technical and Steel Constructions SA (AT:INCr), which rose 4.58% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.370 at the close. Meanwhile, Plaisio Comp (AT:PLAr) added 4.44% or 0.170 points to end at 4.000 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was up 4.16% or 0.051 points to 1.276 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which fell 6.96% or 0.086 points to trade at 1.150 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 5.00% or 0.030 points to end at 0.570 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) was down 3.52% or 0.015 points to 0.397.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 45 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) fell to 5-year highs; down 6.96% or 0.086 to 1.150. Shares in Intralot (AT:INLr) fell to all time lows; down 5.00% or 0.030 to 0.570. Shares in J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.52% or 0.015 to 0.397.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.60% or 7.30 to $1200.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $68.67 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.27% or 0.21 to trade at $77.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1658, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 94.81.
