Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Resources and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 3.04% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.237 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Water (AT:EYDr) added 2.93% or 0.17 points to end at 5.97 and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) was up 2.89% or 0.55 points to 19.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 9.74% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.176 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 5.63% or 0.080 points to end at 1.340 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was down 3.03% or 0.050 points to 1.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 48 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.32% or 4.09 to $1276.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.92 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.10% or 0.06 to trade at $57.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1762, while EUR/GBP rose 0.70% to 0.8964.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 93.81.
