Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Banking and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr), which rose 9.32% or 0.1100 points to trade at 1.2900 at the close. Meanwhile, Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) added 5.88% or 0.150 points to end at 2.700 and Intracom Constructions Technical and Steel Constructions SA (AT:INCr) was up 5.42% or 0.065 points to 1.265 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hellenic Petroleum SA (AT:HEPr), which fell 2.72% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.150 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 2.66% or 0.0026 points to end at 0.0950 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was down 2.25% or 0.040 points to 1.740.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 39 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.02% or 0.30 to $1221.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.01% or 1.41 to hit $68.72 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.22% or 0.92 to trade at $74.63 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1695, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8923.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 94.35.
