Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Basic Resources sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which rose 9.09% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.096 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 5.42% or 0.0110 points to end at 0.2150 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was up 3.55% or 0.012 points to 0.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which fell 1.79% or 0.100 points to trade at 5.500 at the close. Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) declined 1.57% or 0.040 points to end at 2.530 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 1.29% or 0.009 points to 0.690.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 34 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 5.17 to $1284.83 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.35% or 0.18 to hit $51.47 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.37 to trade at $57.60 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.1789, while EUR/GBP fell 0.77% to 0.8938.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 93.48.
