Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 2.89% or 0.21 points to trade at 7.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens International Airport SA (AT:AIAr) added 2.70% or 0.21 points to end at 8.00 and Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) was up 2.54% or 0.06 points to 2.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Austriacard Holdings AG (AT:ACAGr), which fell 2.23% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.71 at the close. Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) declined 1.33% or 0.20 points to end at 14.80 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 1.25% or 0.02 points to 1.66.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 65 to 50 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.89% or 0.21 to 7.48.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.17% or 27.60 to $2,381.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.35% or 1.84 to hit $76.44 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.19% or 1.80 to trade at $80.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.07.
