Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which rose 3.02% or 0.35 points to trade at 11.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Alumil (AT:ALMr) added 2.85% or 0.08 points to end at 2.88 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was up 2.22% or 0.21 points to 9.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which fell 6.78% or 0.24 points to trade at 3.30 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) declined 3.67% or 0.80 points to end at 21.02 and Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) was down 1.89% or 0.04 points to 2.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 71 to 46 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 5.75 to $2,509.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.30% or 1.04 to hit $79.02 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.28% or 1.05 to trade at $81.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 102.72.
