Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Food and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 8.77% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.186 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 4.60% or 0.029 points to end at 0.659 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was up 4.35% or 0.050 points to 1.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Korres (AT:KRRr), which fell 4.52% or 0.190 points to trade at 4.010 at the close. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 3.30% or 0.003 points to end at 0.088 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was down 2.88% or 0.040 points to 1.340.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 43 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.45% or 5.66 to $1277.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $53.91 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.27% or 0.16 to trade at $59.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1635, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 94.45.
