Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr), which rose 4.65% or 0.15 points to trade at 3.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr) added 3.48% or 0.04 points to end at 1.19 and Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr) was up 2.66% or 0.32 points to 12.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 2.69% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) declined 1.92% or 0.19 points to end at 9.69 and Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr) was down 1.91% or 0.40 points to 20.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 56 and 27 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 7.25 to $2,553.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.15% or 2.36 to hit $77.19 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.58% or 2.02 to trade at $80.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 100.61.
