Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which rose 4.76% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.110 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 2.54% or 0.050 points to end at 2.020 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) was up 2.09% or 0.009 points to 0.439 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 6.10% or 0.0065 points to trade at 0.1000 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 5.56% or 0.046 points to end at 0.782 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was down 3.99% or 0.078 points to 1.876.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 46 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intralot (AT:INLr) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.56% or 0.046 to 0.782.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.45% or 5.50 to $1226.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.84% or 0.58 to hit $69.88 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.48 to trade at $74.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1663, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 94.41.
