Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 14.19% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.169 at the close. Meanwhile, Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 5.32% or 0.10 points to end at 1.98 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was up 4.57% or 0.010 points to 0.229 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH), which fell 1.92% or 0.060 points to trade at 3.070 at the close. Korres (AT:KRRr) declined 1.43% or 0.060 points to end at 4.130 and Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) was down 1.29% or 0.110 points to 8.410.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 42 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.46% or 5.99 to $1294.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.99% or 1.02 to hit $50.28 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.83% or 1.04 to trade at $55.90 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1840, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 92.97.
