Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which rose 5.45% or 0.60 points to trade at 11.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 2.48% or 0.15 points to end at 6.20 and Ideal Group SA (AT:IDEr) was up 2.47% or 0.14 points to 5.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Epsilon Net SA (AT:EPSr), which fell 2.28% or 0.28 points to trade at 12.02 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 1.67% or 0.01 points to end at 0.35 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 1.43% or 0.01 points to 0.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 51 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.93% or 22.00 to $2,391.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.37% or 0.31 to hit $84.19 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.24 to trade at $87.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 104.68.
