Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr), which rose 4.17% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) added 3.64% or 0.41 points to end at 11.68 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 3.02% or 0.33 points to 11.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr), which fell 3.23% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.20 at the close. Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) declined 2.73% or 0.11 points to end at 3.74 and Hellenic Telec (AT:OTEr) was down 2.25% or 0.31 points to 13.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 75 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.01% or 0.35 to $2,336.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.43% or 0.35 to hit $81.39 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.40% or 0.34 to trade at $84.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 105.48.
