Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 4.49% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) added 3.70% or 0.08 points to end at 2.10 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 3.13% or 0.18 points to 5.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which fell 1.69% or 0.17 points to trade at 9.89 at the close. Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) declined 1.57% or 0.05 points to end at 3.14 and Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr) was down 1.52% or 0.23 points to 14.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 66 to 48 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.22% or 31.20 to $2,516.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.49% or 1.07 to hit $73.00 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 1.12 to trade at $77.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 101.39.
