Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Resources sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.24% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 7.14% or 0.0150 points to trade at 0.2200 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 6.99% or 0.130 points to end at 1.990 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 5.30% or 0.015 points to 0.298 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr), which fell 2.04% or 0.035 points to trade at 1.680 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 0.99% or 0.012 points to end at 1.204 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 0.84% or 0.030 points to 3.560.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 77 to 34 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 6.99% or 0.130 to 1.990.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.63% or 8.30 to $1312.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.63% or 0.39 to hit $62.12 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.25% or 0.17 to trade at $67.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1925, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8822.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 92.28.
