Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Resources and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which rose 4.47% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.072 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) added 3.48% or 0.040 points to end at 1.190 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 3.17% or 0.080 points to 2.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Plaisio Comp (AT:PLAr), which fell 4.27% or 0.170 points to trade at 3.810 at the close. Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) declined 4.05% or 0.0600 points to end at 1.4200 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was down 3.18% or 0.22 points to 6.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 49 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.18% or 0.22 to 6.70.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.44% or 5.40 to $1222.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.90% or 0.64 to hit $71.61 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.27 to trade at $80.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1561, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 94.93.
