Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 8.59% or 0.1100 points to trade at 1.3900 at the close. Meanwhile, Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 8.52% or 0.270 points to end at 3.440 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 7.19% or 0.022 points to 0.328 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Korres (AT:KRRr), which fell 3.30% or 0.150 points to trade at 4.400 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 2.44% or 0.020 points to end at 0.800 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was down 2.20% or 0.1000 points to 4.4500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 46 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) rose to 52-week highs; rising 8.52% or 0.270 to 3.440.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.07% or 13.86 to $1311.76 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.61% or 1.25 to hit $46.62 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 0.67 to trade at $51.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1961, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.9258.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 92.25.
