Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Retail and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 6.90% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.1550 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) added 5.44% or 0.080 points to end at 1.550 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 3.65% or 0.021 points to 0.596 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which fell 8.47% or 0.5000 points to trade at 5.4000 at the close. Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) declined 4.63% or 0.640 points to end at 13.170 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was down 3.40% or 0.80 points to 23.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 47 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) fell to 5-year highs; down 3.40% or 0.80 to 23.90.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 0.80 to $1293.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.43% or 0.25 to hit $57.86 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.27 to trade at $63.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1871, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8974.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.14.
